Ekko Mobiles has built a global reputation based on the design and installation of large-scale kinetic sculptures. In 2013, they were preparing to launch a new product line of high-quality, home décor kinetic sculptures under the title Ekko Workshop. They asked Voxity to create a video that showed how their process and passion for large installations translated into these new smaller pieces. During a detailed discovery process, we conducted multiple interviews with the Ekko team. We learned about their background and design philosophy and came up with a list of key points and questions, as well as a visual script.
The finished video was seen worldwide and orders for Ekko Workshop sculptures have come from LACMA in Southern California and museums as far away as Scandinavia and the UK.
When we shared the video with the high-end modern furniture store Design Within Reach, they requested a one-minute version to showcase on their products page alongside their custom-designed Ekko Mobiles sculpture.
